The collaborative project gives easier access to visitors and locals alike.

The dock was installed along the LaChute River in Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park next to the existing boat launch, for use by community members and visitors alike. The dock’s main purpose is for kayaks and canoes to have easier access to the river, but it can also  accommodate small motorboats.

The LaChute River connects Lake George and Lake Champlain, and small vessels can access Lake Champlain through the scenic LaChute River now.
